Today, Jan 10th, I visited Jean Shehan Audubon Sanctuary (Talbot
County) for some quiet birding on a very beautiful day. I ended up with 49
species. Highlights:

Over 200 Tundra Swans and only 60 European Mute Swans
33 Black Ducks and only 10 Mallards
Many Common Goldeneye, Ruddies, and Buffleheads
	One Canvasback
At least two Bald Eagles seen several times during the day
	12 Killdeer
Five species of Woodpeckers (Red-bellied, Downy, Hairy, Flicker and
Sapsucker)
All three Nuthatch species including over 28 Brown-headed
	3 Brown Thrashers
Many Song Sparrows and White Throats, and one Swamp Sparrow
	Nine Eastern Meadowlarks.
