The female Long-tailed Duck continues at Riviera Beach. It was floating and
diving about 10 yards off shore. Gr. Scaup, Bufflehead and Canvasback were
present in good numbers in the area as well along with a few Goldeneye.

The area, which is at the mouth of the Patapsco, is frequented by waterfoul
hunters because its an easy outing for many of them. Well, this evening
must had been marked on all of their calendars as every blind seemed active
and shots were going off left and right. I think one of them shot a
Cormorant!
