The temperature drop over here in Talbot County seemed to bring in
some different geese, and this morning (Jan 15th) a careful inspection of
the 4000 geese resting on Leeds Creek included a single Greater White-fonted
Goose. (One had shown up here last spring also, and stayed for several
days.)
A Fox Sparrow and an Eastern Towhee joined the dozens of
White-throats at my driveway feeding site.
Yesterday (Jan 14th) while looking unsuccessfully for the Barnacle
Goose at Pickering Creek, a single Snow Goose was present amongst the 6000
or more Canadas that I sorted through.

And also on Jan 14th, over in Caroline County, specifically near the
intersection of Route 318 and Bradley Road about one mile west of
Federalsburg, a flock of over 5000 Tundra Swans seemed to be quite happy
with the light rain and strong wind of that day.
