Yep, I concur. My wife and I started birding in the Boston area in the late
'60s. One favorite Brookline Bird Club trip was to Cape Ann in early
January to look for Dovkies. Great fun; looking out over the ocean in 10
deg, or less (that's Fahrenheit not Celcius :) ) temp. with the wind
sometime blowing 10-15 mph into the face. Tears actually froze on the
cheeks. Of course, the most fun was getting to somebodies house for hot
chocolate. I can't remember snow ever being a problem, but it might have
been during one of the 20 inch deep blizzards.
