Hi all,

For the second weekend in a row, snow ruin my plans
for weekend birding in Eastern Shore including
Horsehead.
Last weekend, did mostly feeder watching and
yesterday, try out across northwest Harford for field
birds. I never birding before around Bradenbaugh or
going there often except for fire/ems calls in our
first due area.
Went looking for the lark/longspur last report by
Matt Hafner over a week ago. Found only one Horned
Lark flew over a farm near intersection of Bradenbaugh
Rd & Maddonna Rd. After birding at Rocks SP, went back
on Bradenbaugh Rd again, shortly after 5pm, found a
huge flock of 50 Horned Lark and 1 LAPLAND LONGSPUR in
area of Amoss Rd. Quickly turn into Amoss Rd and
found loads of sparrows/thrushes along roadside, the
larks flock landed way out onto the open field clear
of snow near Amoss Rd/Carico Ln.
While in area, looking for larks again, saw
something took off/landed couple times in weedy field
over the hill, it turns out to be 9 Eastern
Meadowlarks
feeding near Carico Ln.

P.S. There was a BARN OWL roosting in one of the silo
between Jarrettsville and Norrisville after 5pm.
Cannot give location as this bird is hard to find and
need soem privacy & peace in area. It was in a private
farm, knew the worker who work for a farmer. He says
that the farmer seen the owl once a year in area and
haven't recalled any nesting in one of the silo. The
yellow book shows breeding in Harford Co.
First time in Maryland (i think?), had seen this
owl once each in Delaware and Virginia.
