Hi all,
This came in late as I lost the bird's list but
later found it this morning while cleaning out the
company truck. Most roadside birding between
deliveries last week.
I found the Wild Turkey that Kyle Jenkins reported
it last weekend in area of Paper Mill Rd today and
yesterday. The hen was seen at intersection of Phoenix
Rd and Paper Mill Rd. It doesnt look like a wild bird
as it wander at edge of road and quite tame. Most Wild
Turkeys I seen usually took off when cars pass by at
road edge. Also she was limping on L foot. Looks bad.
There are several dom. chickens, Helmeted
Guineafowl and other fowls at a small petting zoo yard
behind the bike shop next the the trail at Paper Mill
Rd. The shop is closed so I cannot find a way to talk
to a owner to see if he had any turkey escapee. The
guineafowl sometimes wander at edge of road.
