Norm,
I don't know of any place in Wicomico Co where Horned Larks can be found
with any certainty.

In Somerset County Horned Larks are often in the farm field between
Vessey's orchard and the Rehobeth Road. The best way to access this area is
from Powell Wharf Road, which goes south from the Rehobeth Road about 1/2
mile east of the entrance to Vessey's. After turning onto Powell Wharf Road
you go down a slight grade, cross a small stream and then start up again.
In about 75 feet you come out of the woods on the right. Continue on until
you get to the rise where you can see clearly to your right. Vessey's
orchard can be seen several hundred yards to the right at about a 45 degree
angle. Any Horned Larks will most likely be in the large field toward the
orchard and clockwise back toward the farm house that is closer to the
Rehobeth Road from where you're stopped. You may have to do a lot of
walking to convince yourself that the birds aren't there :)

Snow Buntings and Longspur haven't been seen in either county this winter,
as far as I know.

Good Luck,
Charlie
