I saw two birds that at first thought were Common Nighthawks (wing shape) flying south from the lower edge of Frederick County towards Mongomery County last evening about 5:30pm. Since they had no windows in the wing and were gray, I decided it was time to get out the books -- my best guess is that I saw two Mississippi Kites (a first for me but that makes the call all the more questionable).
