Greetings,

I'm forwarding the following for Ned Brinkley. He can be reached at

Greetings all,

A paper on extralimital reports of Painted Bunting has been submitted to
North American Birds, a journal I work on, and it occurs to me that folks on
this
listserv could help out in checking the list of reports from Maryland. In
some
cases, there is no record of the plumage of the bird, or the dates are
incomplete or uncertain. If you've seen a Painted Bunting in Maryland,
could you
check the list to see if you're able to fill in any blanks? Anyone who
helps to
fill in a blank or make a correction will be acknowledged in the published
paper. (In the list below "green" means either a young male or a  female;
"male"
means a bird in definitive adult male plumage; "unknown" means the plumage
details were not published.) A list for Delaware follows the Maryland
list, and if anyone has information on those birds, your help there would be
appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any assistance
