I took my 15 year old daughter to work this morning at 6am and one the way back
I stopped in an area that I always wondered if it would hold a Saw-wet Owl. So I pulled
over and played the tape. About 1 minute later a Barred Owl came barreling
thru barking and calling. So I guess the answer to that question to myself would be no. NO Saw-wets.
Yesterday morning I was playing a Screech Owl tape at one of my Screech Owl
spots in Southern Cecil County and I heard what sounded like a Saw-wet to me
call back to the Screech Owl tape. Only once, but it sounded very clear. Tom Raub
and I didn't do too bad yesterday in the Cecil Mid-winter count. I will have the results
from that up soon.

Also this morning during the Barred Owl incident, 2 different Woodcocks were calling
and doing their flight display ritual.
The Local Eagles are all up on theirs nests yesterday. Looks like they are doing a
little house cleaning.
