Hi all On Sun Feb 13 , 05 seven hardy birders met and went checking
fields In Caroline Co and some Queen Annes Fields for Larks , Pipits,
Longspurs, Buntings . Only Horned Larks - Many in many places and a
couple of Pipits at Marblehead Rd Ridgely Md . Best nature sighting was
the Eastern Kingsnake Veiwed when some kids and dog and mother came
across it at Tuckahoe state Park and Asked If it was a Rattlesnake . The
Kingsnake was shaking its tail like a Rattler and lunging at us. Just to be
clear though there are no Rattlesnakes In the Eastern part of Maryland. I
have never seen a snake of any kind out In Feb also this was only my
second Kingsnake. Bird highlights
