At about 9:30 this morning, February 16, a noisy group of Snow Geese, 
numbering at least 200, passed over our house in Bethesda, quite high up 
and moving due north.

We very seldom see Snow Geese around here, so it was a welcome sight and 
possible harbinger of spring.
