I just walked across small bridge that crosses Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, and as I walked down some steps in front of office building near the mall I saw a bird sitting in a small tree there. It looked a little different and I looked at it through my binos and saw a Cedar Waxwing, my year's first. And then as I walked around that office building to get to the mall, I saw a whole lot more Cedar Waxwings among the trees.
