And don't forget that fantastic segment on saw-whets! Good for those of you who may have had to miss a visit to the Lambs Knoll banding operation.

Hello all,

Having seen Carol Schreter's post about the chimney swifts upcoming TV debut, I wanted to send a note to inform everyone about the current Outdoors Maryland. The Chester River Field Research Center's work on the restored Eastern-shore grassland is being featured this week. For those who are unfamiliar, this is a University of Maryland run project that is entering it's seventh year. Many who were at last summers MOS conference in Chestertown will remember Dr. Doug Gill who gave the keynote address about the restored grassland project and the exciting research that is taking place.

I am a bit biased but the cinematography was outstanding, with much great footage of many of the species that are regular breeders in the grassland. If anyone is interested in seeing this program it is being re-aired on Feb. 19th at 5:30 pm. http://www.mpt.org/odm/

Have a great day!
