Including with my backyard the Bethesda campus of Landon School gave me an
opportunity to stretch my legs this afternoon and compile a list to send to
our friends in Citizen Science at the National Audubon Society. Here it is:

          Ring-billed Gull - 2
           Rock Pigeon - 1
         Mourning Dove - 12
         Red-bellied Woodpecker - 2
         Downy Woodpecker - 2
         Hairy Woodpecker - 1
         Carolina Chickadee - 2
         Tufted Titmouse - 1
         White-breasted Nuthatch - 2
         Winter Wren - 2
         American Robin - 60
         Northern Mockingbird - 2
         European Starling - 50
         Eastern Towhee - 2
         Fox Sparrow - 1
         Song Sparrow - 1
         White-throated Sparrow - 6
         Dark-eyed Junco - 5
         Northern Cardinal - 3
         Common Grackle - 10
         House Finch - 2
         House Sparrow - 20

Hardly startling stuff, but fun. The GBBC goes through tomorrow, so if you
haven't submitted a checklist, consider doing so.
