Hello all: Lisa and I birded the Eastern Shore, both MD and DE, from dawn
to dusk on Saturday-Sunday 2/19 and 2/20. Had a total of 69 species...

Don't want to repeat too much of others' posts, but the highlights were:

	* HORNED LARKs (4-5) in Centreville, near intersection of Md 304 and
Rolling Bridge Road, as previously posted. Missed the Snow Buntings.

	* TUNDRA SWAN, more than 100, in the huge quarry pit on the north side of
US 50 near Vienna, MD.

	* EURASIAN WIGEON, at the Eagle's Nest Golf Course south of O.C.

	* At the Ocean City Inlet, we had the PEREGRINE FALCON on the water tower,
RAZORBILL out at sea past the south jetty, SURF and BLACK SCOTERS, GREAT
CORMORANT, LONG-TAILED DUCK (female), COMMON EIDER (end of south jetty),
first-year ICELAND GULL, and as many as a dozen RED-THROATED LOONs at any
one time. Also, two AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERs, RUDDY TURNSTONE and PURPLE
SANDPIPER.

MANY, MANY thanks to the group from Frederick County that helped us nab our
life Iceland Gull and shared their scopes so we could see the Eider after we
had a scope-damaging accident.

Lastly, north of the border, we *finally* got our life WHITE-WINGED SCOTER
at the Indian River Inlet and life BROWN-HEADED NUTHATCH at the nature
center feeders in Cape Henlopen SP.

'Twas great to see a lot of fellow birders out and about this weekend. Good
Birding!
