Field across the street from Hughes Rd. polo field -

Wilson's Snipe - 3 (feeding in a wet spot just opposite the driveway to
the stables)
Killdeer - 3
Horned Larks
Northern Flicker

Tried for Lapwing this morning with no success. Bad timing based on
this afternoon's posts. At the the Graceham Rd. site there were several
Lapland Longspurs amongst a flock of Horned Larks and a Wilson's Snipe
in the ditch on the North side of the rd. A birder was parked directly
in front of the wet spot where the Lapwing has been reported. I may be
off base here but I don't think this helps one's chances. When I tried
for the bird a few weeks back, there were 8 or 9 cars but everyone kept
themselves and their cars a fair distance up the road from the wet area.
