Northern Lapwing @ Creagerstown

Creagerstown, MD, 4 Mar 05, around noon:  I was able to see the Northern
Lapwing on my first try, albeit distant views.  The bird was located in a
farm field opposite the church cemetary on Black Mill Road.  There were at
least 20 or so biders assemled there, some from as far away as South
Carolina and Ohio.  Looks were short as the bird appeared and then
disappeared just below a slight rise in the field.  It finally flew off and
was apparently relocated in another farm field adjacent to the cemetary.
