I hit a few spots in Talbot County after chasing the Cambridge Eurasian
Wigeon (which was obligingly up on the lawn at the park -- see
http://mysite.verizon.net/vzep1nyj/eurasianwigeon).
Rt. 50 Fishing Pier on Choptank -- 1 Snow Goose with the Canadas,
2 Canvasbacks, 4 Common Goldeneyes, a few Bufflehead and many
scaup (all identified were Lesser).
Trappe sewage ponds -- 1 Greater Scaup with many Lesser, 2 Gadwall.
Howell Point Road (south of Trappe) farm pond -- 2 Northern Shovelers,
6 Green-winged Teal, 2 American Wigeon, 1 Ring-necked Duck, 4 scaup.
Choptank Marina -- 8 Common Mergansers (6 in Talbot, 2 in Caroline),
2 Common Goldeneyes (both counties), 2 Double-crested Cormorants
(Caroline).
Pickering Creek -- no shrike, but 2 Cackling Geese in with the
Canadas, and 4 Wood Ducks.
Coveys Landing -- 1 Osprey flew up the Talbot side.
