Greetings,

Sunday morning I ventured out to see the Lapwing. Upon arriving on
Graceham Rd around 8AM I found the place deserted! around 8:30 a birder
arrived with info that the bird was on Black Mills Rd. I arrived at the
cemetary and found the bird across the road out in a field beyond a pond. I
had great looks at this marvalous bird.

Other interesting birds that I encountered during the trip out and back
were 3 Common Ravens on I-70 at exit 62 (15 miles EAST of Frederick, a
Sharpie in Aberdeen, and Cooper's in Perryville, and a Bald Eagle at my
home near North East. I also had 10 or so Common Mergs spend the day in
the cove at my house. At the North East Town Park, where I met Bill
Hubick, I had a thayers-ish Gull. It was an all brown immature gull that
at rest had brown outer primaries with no black coloration on them. They
were edged in white. When it flew it didnt look like a herring (no black
on the wings). it flew away and did not return. I only got to see it for a
few moments before it flew. Who knows? Bill advised that he had one Lesser
Black-backed before I arrived.

Good Birding,
