The Pickering Creek Northern Shrike seems to be cooperating with
birders, and has been regularly seen along Audubon Lane and around the
wetland ponds. Quite a few birders have successfully found this bird; quite
a few others may have looked without success.

ONE NOTE OF CAUTION -- PLEASE DO NOT TRESPASS ON THE PROPERTY
ADJACENT TO PICKERING CREEK! BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
PICKERING CREEK PROPERTY --AND OBSERVE THEM. WHEN THE SIGNS SAY 'NO
TRESPASSING', WHAT IT MEANS IS THAT THE PROPERTY OWNER DOES NOT WANT PEOPLE
WALKING INTO THOSE FIELDS. BIRDERS MUST COMPLY!

The Pickering Creek Property is bounded by a long row of very tall
pines on the east side, Sharp Road on the south side, Presquile Road on the
southwest side, and the forest edge on the west side. Birders have been
reported as parking on Sharp Road and walking out into the field east of the
pines that form the eastern boundary of the Pickering Creek Property. The
neighbor on that side definitely does not want that repeated.

By all means, come on over and look for this lovely bird for as long
as it is around, but while looking, please observe and comply with the No
Trespassing signs of the Pickering Creek neighbors.
