Hello,

My name is Zach Baer and I am a member of the Youth Team the "Coastal 
Cuckoos."  Through the World Series of Birding I raise money for bird 
conservation for the organization of my choosing.  Last year I chose to send 
the money I raised to Pickering Creek Audubon Center (you might have heard 
about it recently with some shrike or something).  Anyways, this year I plan 
to also send my donations raised to Pickering Creek.  After having the 
pleasure of coming in one day over the summer to teach all of the little 
Eco-campers about the local birds they may not have noticed I knew that I 
wanted to continue raising money for this cause.  I got started in birding 
through a program just like Pickering Creek's Eco-camp and so I feel it only 
right to send my donations towards a program aimed at touching our local 
youth.  Last year I recieved lots of support from MDOsprey and I just wanted 
to thank everyone who donated so graciously and let them know that they gave 
towards a good cause.

This year donations will be taken in the same fashion, if anyone out there 
does feel the need to support my cause.  You can either send a straight 
donation, or you can make a pledge per bird that we see on our big day (the 
World Series of Birding).  Keep in mind though that we did see 183 species 
last year and are shooting for 200 this year.  My e-mail address is
