like birds, some rubes are indigenous, while others are accidental, & not 
normally seen in the habitat.
plus, standing there with an average of $2500 in optical equipment [I've 
seen some really amazing stuff among the groups there] can only be expected 
to produce emotional reactions in some guy who does not understand us, but 
may be raising a couple of kids on $25000 a year.  I understand his actions 
more easily than I do those who walk across graves.
