Folks

A large fight of Tundra Swans have been passing over the house since Gwen
and I got home at 7:20 PM. They continue to move north. Go outside and
listen if the surface noise does not drown them out. Cool! Number 52 for
the yard year list.

Today Kyle Rambo and I went searching for Lapland Longspurs on the PAX base.
We found and photographed a few - in total about 30 birds. We also found
good numbers of Wilson Snipe - better photos.

On Wednesday I went to Shaffer Road, Washington County and photographed the
Loggerhead Shrike. I also searched for the two reported along
Breathedsville Road only to find two Northern Mockingbirds at 18418.

On Monday I stopped at Pickering Creek and relocated the Northern Shrike -
another photo op. Prior to the Northern Shrike, I found the drake Eurasian
Wigeon in Cambridge near Great Marsh as previously reported by Ringer and
others. Another photo op.

So far a pretty good photo week.
