Here's a partial list of birds I saw at the National Arboretum this
afternoon:

Osprey
Red-shouldered Hawk
Red-tailed Hawk
Merlin
Eastern Bluebird
Hermit Thrush
Palm Warbler
Song Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco

The Palm Warbler was with a group of bluebirds over in the state trees
area. I watched the Merlin finish eating down near the river, and then I
saw it again over by the state trees. The second time it took a couple
passes at a red-shouldered hawk before diving after something else.

Good birding,

John Beetham
