Thanks, all, for your quick responses. I'm looking for local and migratory
songbirds and perching birds. I'm a science teacher at a local private school
and am starting a bird club for 3rd-6th graders. I'd like to show the students
the pictures of what we will be looking for and educate them on what's in
their backyards.
I'll be writing to you, off-list, for permission.
Best,

Hi Folks!
I get lots of requests for use of slides and sounds that are posted at the
Patuxent Bird Identification Center and the USDA Plants Database.
Patuxent Bird Identification InfoCenter
http://www.mbr-pwrc.usgs.gov/id/framlst/infocenter.html
Welcome to the PLANTS National Database http://plants.usda.gov/
The images and sounds are placed there for educational purpose and as a
resource for teaching. It is a simple matter of telling why, when, where
and how
you plan to use the image. I freely give permission for someone to download
the file and use it on a website, in a powerpoint or print it, if the use is
not-for-profit.
Happy Surfing!
