The Leica 77mm Televid APO weighs in at 59.8 ounces (per Eagle
Optics).  Add in an eyepiece and the fancy canvas case and you add a
few more ounces, let's say upping it to 70.  This still amounts to
less than 4.5 pounds, Parke.

That's the model Fran has and I have to admit, it feels like 9
pounds at times.  That's why I bought the smaller, MUCH lighter 62mm
Televid APO.  Sometimes I catch Fran eyeing my scope with an
unseemly gleam in her eye!
