This territorial behavior of attacking reflections in windows is not
restricted to passerines.  My parents in San Diego were having a similar
problem with a red-shouldered hawk a few weeks ago.  Fortunately the hawk
now seems to have stopped, and (even more fortunately) it did so before
breaking the window.
