Saturday, Apr. 2, 2005, Parke John will lead a field trip for the Cecil Bird Club to Mt. Harmon Plantation and Grove Neck Sanctuary. Both are located in southern Cecil County on the Sassafras River: Mt Harmon is an old tobacco plantation with scenic grounds and an antebellum mansion. Both locations provide a variety of habitat and require some walking. Although this trip is scheduled for a full day, ½-dayers are welcome.
