The RED-THROATED LOON was seen again this (Tues) morning at
the mouth of the Anacostia River (from Hains Pt) in DC.
Also seen on the golf course were 3 BLUE-WINGED TEAL (2m,
1f). And on the River there were about 125 BONAPARTE'S
GULLS, only one of which had a black head.
Otherwise it's the usual suspects (LESSER SCAUP - but in
much reduced numbers than last week, BUFFLEHEAD, RED-
BREASTEED MERGANSERS, etc.)
Forgot to mention that there was a MERLIN on the golf course
yesterday afternoon.
Good birding,
Paul Pisano
