Hi --

I received this from Chuck Litterst, he had some problems posting directly
so I am forwarding this with his permission. He said there were some other
birders around but it appears no one saw anything new...

Guess the best advice is to keep looking!

Gail,

Please forgive this response if it's not correct. I am very new (last
Thursday) to MDOsprey and still haven't gotten my system correct, hence my
reply to you rather than to the Osprey site. I sent a message to Osprey
about 3 PM yesterday but it didn't record properly, apparently because my
computer was still sending in HTML. At any rate, I was at both Port Deposit
and Lapidim for 6-7 hr yesterday, 5+ at Port Deposit and 30 minutes or so at
the boat ramp in Lapidim. Deposit side was very high and running very fast,
with birds minimally a couple of hundred yards off shore. Many Bonies still
around, but lots of Ring-bills and the Black-headed but nothing resembling a
Ross's. Lapidim was very quiet and still, with birds right on shore. I
saw the Little Gull flying about 20-30 feet off shore, and the Black-headed
again at about the same distance but on the water. No sign of anything
resembling a Ross's.
Take your umbrella if you go up today!
