Oh hum, another weekend, another Red-Shouldered Hawk nest.
Yesterday between the rain showers I found another active RS Hawk nest in the vicinity of the Normanstone Valley (Woodley Park Area) adjacent to Rock Creek Park.  The female was on the nest calling, and the male responded from a distance and made a few flyovers.  I heard this pair in that area last year but could not locate the nest.  I'll have to check a map, this might be out of my Atlas Quarter Block and in the next one.
