Walked across to Ft. Bayard again this morning. In the same spot as yesterday, again had a Y-B SAPSUCKER (a different individual--today's was female) and BR CREEPER (it'll take better eyes than mine to determine whether this was a different individual or not!). Today I watched the WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH more carefully and saw it take nesting material into a hole.
Today's highlights were the surprisingly large number of CHIPPING SPARROWS (at least 10) and the appearance of the week's first warbler (a female YELLOW-RUMPED). No field sparrow and again no juncos.
