I was cheered to see a flock of Chipping Sparrows in the elm trees on the 
Mall near 14th St, around 5:30 this afternoon - a pleasant change from the 
ever-present House Sparrows and Starlings.  Then next to the Hirschhorn sculpture 
garden, a flock of juncos - a reminder that spring still has a ways to go.
