What a sight!  The Hughes Hollow Sora popped out of the bank underbrush in the ditch just before the bulletin board, went over to the opposite bank and fed along the ditch in easy viewing for about 10 minutes.  This was about 10:15am (just 10 minutes after my arrival).

It was a male in breeding plumage.  Very bright yellow bill, rich gray on neck; white in tail (which it pumped frequently).

Interestingly, after walking north or west on the dike and returning, it popped into view again for two other birders searching for it.  It stayed in sight for at least another 10 minutes or so.

Nice lifer.
