Sunday morning while birding Eastern Neck NWR I heard Brown-headed
Nuthatches calling. I was on the trail that is located on the road that
goes to the boat ramp. The birds were calling in the pines across the small
creek on the left side of the trail. I stopped and listened and observed
one bird fly across the creek and land in the pines above me. It then flew
back across the creek. The birds did not call again while I was there.
Also observed were Yellow-throated Warbler and Pine Warbler.
