Weather:
56-86 degrees; partly cloudy; winds with a westerly component, 0-14 mph,
becoming 24 mph at the end of the watch when rain threatened.
Observations:
We were lucky to have great clouds most of the day, and a nice breeze kept
the ambient temperature very comfortable. Flight spread out over the
whole day and many birds were very high. An immature Peregrine Falcon
perched in a tree for about an hour. A very satisfying day after last
week's unfavorable weather.
Migrating Common Loons and Double-crested Cormorants along with swallows, swifts, and martins and the first wave of Blue Jays.
