Paid a visit to Rock Creek this morning. Not many warblers in yet. Perhaps as many as 4 singing Ovenbird around the park, 2 Black-and-White Warblers at Picnic Area #18 and 1 more at the horse stables; and plenty of Yellow-rumps. Still a greater diversity of sparrows with Field Sparrow at the open area down from #18, Swamp Sparrows at the Dog Run and Maintenance Yard to go with Chipping, White-throated and Song, with some Towhees also showing well. Winter Wren and Hermit Thrush (the latter singing) are still in the woods, and quite a few Brown Thrasher and Blue-Grey Gnatcatchers, with plenty of Ruby-crowned Kinglets in song.
