We had a successful field trip to Lake Artemesia this morning for the
Wilson Society Conference. A breeding plumage Common Loon was on Lake
Artemesia, and another 4 flew overhead. We heard 3 Blue-headed Vireos,
and warblers included several Northern Parula, one Common Yellowthroat, a
Black and White Warbler, a Palm Warbler, Mrytle Warblers, and a Prairie
Warbler.

Also making appearances were a Red Shouldered Hawk, an Adult Bald Eagle,
and a Fish Crow. Other songbirds included an Eastern Towhee, Song
Sparrow, many singing White-throated Sparrows, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers,
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and a Winter Wren.
