Hi all this afternoon  I went for a drive in QA county and Caroline co 
for  shorebirds not much around except yellowlegs.  In Caroline  I came 
across


1     Wild  Turkey                in a wheat field East Cherry Lane  only 
its head visable
1     American  Kestrel         East Cherry Lane
1     Harrier                       at East Cherry  Lane  hunting
1    Field  Sparrow             Singing at East Cherry Lane
2   Savannah  Sparrow       on Marblehead Road near Ridgely



Now for the bit of Bad news  .   The  hayfield on East Cherry Lane  near 
Cedar Lane that has had the  nesting  Dickcissels for the last couple of  
years  is now  sprouting 2 perk pipes in the section of hay nearest the 
stream and across the street from the hedgerow that the male sits  in and 
sings.   Too Bad we have to pave over or sprout houses over  most of the 
interesting  habitats and natural areas.
