When stopped at the 4-way stop sign at Beach Drive and Kensington Parkway
in southern Montgomery County at about 10:30 a.m. this morning, I was happy
to hear a YELLOW WARBLER singing very close by. I parked down the road,
walked back and found the bird by the small stream. As I walked back to
the car I heard and saw an EASTERN KINGBIRD, the first one I have run
across locally this year.
