Jane and I were moving books from an old bookcase to a new, larger one. I happened to look out the window and there was a warm brown Catharus thrush picking worms off of our sidewalk. The streaking on the chest was faint and the tail and back were the same warm brown color. Pretty much the same as the tail color of a Hermit Thrush. We were assuming it was a Hermit as we've had one hanging around the yard all winter. I guess we haven't seen it lately so it has been temporarily superceded. There were also two Catbirds in a Holly immediately behind the Veery. Bring on the other Cathari!
