Warbler numbers and diversity up a little today at Rock Creek. In just under 2 hrs I had 15 species (and somehow missed Parula, either they weren't there or they didn't register). There were good numbers of Blue-winged (5), Blackburnian (at least 6), Redstart (about the same) and still a lot of Black-and-White (more than 10 singing males plus several females), though Yellow-rumped still the commonest. Highlight for me was very good, close views of a singing Hooded in the Dog Run (finally); at least 2 in the park as one also heard briefly at Picnic Area 18. Also present were quite a few B/T Blue and B/T Green, Western Palm, and I had singles of Worm-eating, Cerulean (heard only, Maintenance Yard), Nashville (Maintenance Yard), Yellow, and Yellowthroat. And a lot of Ovenbird in the woods.
Of the thrushes, still only Hermit, Wood and Veery that I could find; and no Veeries singing. More Scarlet Tanagers are around. Plenty of Blue Jays heading north overhead. Ruby-crowned Kinglets and White-throated Sparrows also still plentiful.
I did not have an opportunity to compare notes, so am not sure if anything else was seen.
