A walk around the Tidal Basin and the Lincoln Monument produced these
highlights:
   Tidal Basin:
   Several Double-crested Cormorants
   a male Red-breasted Merganser

DC Veteran's Memorial: (sort of frustrating, the birds were being
very discreet!)
   Lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers
   Yellow warbler (heard)
   Blue-gray gnatcatcher (heard)
   Solitary vireo (heard)
   Lots of White-throated Sparrows
   a few Dark-eyed Juncos
   a couple of Brown Thrashers
   Catbirds

Constitution Gardens
   More Yellow-rumped Warblers
   a Yellow Warbler
   lots of Hermit Thrushes
   a few Wood Thrushes
   a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
a large flock of American Goldfinches
   more White-throated Sparrows
   more juncos
   some Chipping Sparrows
   an Eastern Towhee
   more Catbirds
