I saw C Swifts enter my chimney for the first time on 4/29 @ appx 7:30 pm.
Last night I could hear them twittering inside the chimney from inside the
house well past dark.  My assumption is that nesting has begun -
hurray...!!!

I've also been observing a Killdeer "nest" near my home for the last week or
so.  The "nest" consists of a hollowed out cavity in the middle of a gravel
road.  Egg total is now up to three.  I had observed a recently hatched
family in the same location as long as 7 or 8 years ago, but hadn't
remembered before this year to look for activity until past nesting season.
A recent posting about a Killdeer family was a good reminder - thanks!
