Hi all --

More birders than birds at Rock Creek Park, DC, today -- well, not really
but migrants were thin on the ground for this date in May. Not unexpected
with the continuing northerly winds and cold nights. Nevertheless,
persistence and a lot of eyes/ears did manage to find a nice selection:

Warblers (not all seen/heard by us): Black-and-White Warbler (5),
Black-throated Green (4), Black-throated Blue (3), Blue-winged (4, one
unseen bird singing an odd song), Chestnut-sided (2), Louisiana Waterthrush
(1), Magnolia (2), Myrtle (~45), Nashville (2), Ovenbird (8), Parula (1),
Redstart (4), Worm-eating (2), Common Yellowthroat (1).

Others: Rose-breasted Grosbeak (2), Baltimore Oriole (2), Red-eyed Vireo
(8), Blue-headed Vireo (3-4), Scarlet Tanager (5), Yellow-billed Cuckoo (4),
Great Crested FC (2).

It got very windy and bright and things shut down early, also
(unfortunately) a lot more birds heard than seen by most of us!
