Hi all after work yesterday I went to wye Island to look for shorebirds
and so some atlasing near and at the wetland impoundment and pond
behind it. There were 2 first year male Orchard Orioles bowing and
displaying to each other most likely a territory thing . Latter on 1 adult
male Oriole in the same area A least 12 Wood Ducks serveral in pairs and
later a female with 12 newly hatched downy young . A great atlas
confrimation . Shorebirds there
Least Sandpiper 20 at least
Greater yellowlegs several
Lesser Yellowlegs several
Solitary Sandpiper 1
Killdeer 2
Semipalmated plover 3

Have a great May Count
Happy Birding
