Queen Annes County Birds for 5 - 15 - 05

     After  a long Day yesterday  I decided to sleep in a little latter on 
Sun Morning . [ Sorry Talbot County Birders ]   When I did leave at 7:45ish  
I went to one of my atlas blocks  in Queenstown  were I had the breeding 
Coots and Pied  Billed Grebes [ see the Md Osprey archives for early July 
Last Year]  sorry I can NOT GIVE the exact location as its Private property. 
Sunsdays Birds  there

Common Moorhen    1   Year bird
Pied Billed Grebe       1
Blue Winged Teal       1     Drake      late
Wood  Duck             1 female    with  8 Downy young
Mallard                 3  -   but 1 female with 6  Downy young
Canada Geese      3   -   2 with 5  young


        Then went To  Horsehead  in Grasonville Md  Not in My  Atlas Book  
were I ran into Kevin Graff. I will let him Post the results  but some  
highlights  were a fair Number of Shorebirds on Lake Knapp  mostly  Least 
sandpipers, Semi Palmated Plovers , lingering late waterfowl   others

Dunlin             3
Lesser Scaup
Ruddy Duck
Red Breasted Mergs

     Latter  12:00 ish after Kevin And I  parted  went on the back trail 
behind the classroom  building and Hummingbird  Garden here bird were

Yellow Rumped Warbler 1
Ruby Throated Hummingbird     1 female   at feeder         1 male  on the 
way in  on the entrance road

Eastern Towhee      1 heard
Cardinal
Red Bellied Woodpecker


In the Marsh on the entrance road on the way in in the morning  1 Virgina 
Rail called
