I spent an hour at Hains Pt this morning in the rain and wind (from 9-10AM) looking for shorebirds and terns migrating up the river. At around 9:30 a Common Tern came close in to the tip of the Point, and about 5 minutes later a Ruddy Turnstone flew past. I also saw a distant flock of shorebirds (mixed size, looked like it might be peeps plus something bigger e.g. Pecs) but lost it in the rain and clouds. Other than that, only a few Spotted Sandpipers around, and the expected 4 species of gull.
