Folks

I am starting to plan the fieldtrip schedule for the Southern Maryland Audubon Society (SMAS) 05-06 season. If you are interested in leading a trip, please contact me. Let me know where and when you would be interested in leading a trip. Remember not everyone can lead trips in the spring and fall, and we need to schedule some trips for winter. Also if you know of someone else not on the list that might be interested, please let me know.

I plan to schedule trips on the Birdathon day this time since not all will be doing the birdathon, and the MOS convention, since these are good time to be looking for neotropical migrants. Some of the traditional spots (Point Lookout, Myrtle Grove) will be included, but I would like to go to some new locations or ones not often visited. I want to add a couple atlas trips during safe dates to help promote that project. I also would like to have more leaders so we can share the burden. I will plan less trips in the colder weather period, and more trips in migration. Any other suggestion would be appreciated.

The best way to start a database now is to email me and I will assemble a schedule.

Thanks in advance.

George
